About Me

Christine Dominguez is an aspiring author who loves to write stories that encourage and inspire young adult readers. With fantasy, science-fiction, action and adventure as her favorite genres, Christine interweaves thrills and imagination with her strong faith, creating stories that go beyond entertainment. She creates vast worlds and quixotic characters that, despite their fantastical nature, connect with her readers. Christine’s writings are rooted firmly in Biblical truths and moral principles, challenging readers to question how they feel about faith and God.

Christine has a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Creative Writing from the University of Miami, and spends her summers in peaceful Virginia working towards her MFA in Children’s Literature at Hollins University. During the rest of the year, she spends her time teaching a group of awesome high school kids how to love literature as much as she does. Christine was home-schooled from the third grade until she graduated high school. She’s now 22 and lives in Miami, Fl with her family: her parents, two younger sisters, a little brother and their loving-but-utterly-ridiculous dog, Riley.

yeah that sounds great! thank you so much for the support; I like your writing very much as well and will add you to my blogroll too :) I’m starting college this fall and am thinking about majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing…if you have any tips that might help me along the way, please feel free to share!

I’m going to Loyola University of Chicago. Wow, that’s funny because after telling my academic advisor about my interest in writing and foreign languages, told me I should consider majoring in International Studies. But after reading the courses I have to take, I decided against it. I’m going in undecided and just taking core requirements, and one elective (French 101) this semester just because I wasn’t totally sure what I wanted to major in. I’ve known for quite some time that whatever I end up doing will involve writing though. Plus, I’m the only person I know who actually enjoys the subject of correct grammar, so I think an English major is the best choice for me.

I want to write a book someday, and I really admire you for persevering through eight years of a single project! That’s amazing. I’m sure it’ll be great and thanks for all your kind words, blogbuddy :)
